Hello and welcome to another episode of the Fully Charched Show podcast and today you are in for such a treat because earlier on I was joined by Mike Murphy who leads a project called the EV Politics Project.

Now what about to say next I think reflects the political nature of the

E. V discourse at this current moment in time because when I learned that Mike was

joining us on the podcast I was

surprised and I was surprised because I had learned that he is one of the Republican

Party's most successful political media consultants which is surprising because as we know today, EVs are political hot potatoes.

They don't always sit that favorably and particularly so with Republican voters.

Not least thanks to various comments made by a certain Donald Trump,

including one which he made late last year where he wished electric car supporters to rot in hell

on a true social post. But Mike has handled strategy and advertising for more than 26 successful

gubernatorial, that's governor for those in the UK and senatorial campaigns, including

for Senator John McCain, Mitt Romney, Jeff Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger, to name just a few.

And in 2020 he served as a key strategist for Republican voters against Trump.

But importantly for this audience, he's also a very proud VW ID4 driver. But in his work for the EV Politics Project, he is, it is a bipartisan effort to better understand the growing divide between Republicans and Democrats over electric vehicle adoption and

through this initiative he is hoping to put an end, and this is a quote for those listening, partisan political bickering,

so America can lead the world in electric vehicles.
