This is CBSI and the world. I'm John Batchelor. I welcome Conrad Black, distinguished biographer, writing at the National Post routinely, often introducing me to a leader in Canada who is not much known in the United States yet.

His name is Pulevra.

He comes from the West.

However, he's extremely well-educated.

He's bilingual.

That's the Canadian way.

And he leads the conservative group in Parliament,

which is a large number, always outpolling their rival parties.

And yet these years, the decision by the Canadian people is to have Justin Trudeau of the liberals lead the country in coalition with a smaller party,

identified somewhat with affinity groups that are not Scotch-Irish.

However, we now have a new election in 2025 to look to,

and the election in the United States suggests there could be a movement toward conservatism,

which in Canada, because I learn these things through Conrad's column and reading

the National Post, the major stories are immigration, just like the U.S., but housing and growth,

prosperity. Conrad, a very good evening to you. Mr. Pilevera, is he in a position to take

advantage of this surprise success of Donald Trump, not surprising to us,

surprising to the major newspapers, and that the U.S. will be keen on its place in the world.

Is Mr. Pellever equally keen on Canada's place in the world? Will he grow the economy?

He is now leading by 20 points, which, you know, in this country, as in yours, is a colossal lead.

I mean, that's sort of Roosevelt against London or Johnson and Goldwater, Nixon, and MacGovar.

You know, that's a landslide proportion.
