2:06.0 | There's a revenue increase. Product iteration, product creation became a part of my business when I realized that. Now we're always saying, what's new? What's the next thing? What's interesting? What do people want? We're listening to our customers a lot more. |
2:20.0 | Now some of you are saying, Don, product creation is a little bit difficult. It takes a long time. I don't know that that's going to help me right away. Let me give you one idea. |
2:29.0 | You can actually package together groups of existing products and give it a different skew or a different product title. For example, let's say that you offer vitamins and you've got 500 jars of vitamins in your store. |
2:49.0 | You might actually consider putting together a package of three or four different vitamins or products that are just called men over 50, or the men over 50 longevity packet. |
3:03.0 | Then you're taking existing vitamins and putting it into little Ziploc bags, if you will, or whatever, and you're selling all the jars together. I always use the example of a pet store. |
3:15.0 | Somebody comes in to buy some spray that they spray on their couch to keep their new puppy from eating the couch. You want to actually say, yeah, we have that spray. It's also part of our new puppy package. The new puppy package is $250. It has a kennel and the spray that you want and some pea pads and all this kind of stuff. |
