Well, hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of making the argument.

We've got a kind of a unique episode today.

We had a busy seven days or so.

Busy seven days because, well, I got invited to go up to the White House to talk with the White House press secretary as well as some members of the cabinet.

Also had an opportunity

to speak with Speaker Mike Johnson immediately following Trump's address to a joint session of Congress.

So the question is, why? Why would they do that? Is it because of the beard? Probably.

Probably. Like, I mean, look, J.D.'s beard is good. But I'm just saying kind of the kind of the standard rate, those little salt and pepper thing gives you this impression of looking a little bit cooler, maybe a little bit more, maybe a little bit more weathered than you actually, okay. Now that was-

The beard helps a lot of people. Have you guys seen Thomas Massey lately? I'm like Thomas Massey had a massive glow up by growing a beard.

The beard has been referred to as the Spanx for men.

No, listen, look, we got an opportunity to go up there in both of these meetings.

We got an opportunity to go up with a lot of other people on what the Trump White House is referring to as new media.

And again, we had an excellent opportunity to not just go up there and get little

photo ops and things like that.

We actually had an opportunity to sit down and talk with members of the White House press

staff, Carolyn Levin and others, various cabinet members, had an opportunity to meet some of

them and actually ask questions.

And that was, again, incredibly insightful for me. And then same thing with Speaker Mike Johnson. We actually had an opportunity to sit around the table and ask about what Congress and specifically, obviously, what the House of Representatives plans to do here in the short term? Like, what is the strategy for the next two years?

And I think all of this is beneficial because what it demonstrates is both the incoming administration and Congress recognizes that the legacy media is not the only option out

there anymore.

Like that there is another form of media that is on the ascendancy and is talking to people.
