From the land of the free and the home of the chiefs, this is the

locked on chiefs podcast. The chiefs general manager Brett Beach has been busy

getting ready for this 2020 NFL draft. A lot has to go into what is by far the most unique

draft that we have seen in the modern era, if not ever. And Brett Beach has been on top of

what's going on with it. He has been running multiple mock drafts with the league.

Probably not using actual player names. I can't imagine that that be even falsehoods might give something away, but

working through the technological portion of getting that done so that they have an idea of how this will flow.

The League has gone and announced that there could be a possibility

if a trade comes up of delaying the process, putting it on hold, so to speak,

so that they can get things done, and it all comes back to how they're deploying

the technology to communicate.

Communication is so key, especially when you're talking about multiple video feeds, phone feeds, what we talked

about yesterday that the NFL actually requested from the major mobile carriers that they don't

do maintenance during the draft period.

Some craziness to that point because it is so critical about how they go about and they're

trying to get the timing down.

They're trying to get the feel for who may be no offense to some other teams better prepared to deal with the possibility of a trade or a delay in a selection.

Who's on top of what they're doing?

I think there are certain things to be said.

There are some cities around the country with teams in

them that are better connected than others certainly the presence of how much

fiber is in Kansas City and able to feed the area and its technological needs for bandwidth.
