curtain across the doorway, from which he watched his mother and stepfather fight. Their stepfather,

Poland-born, Bolslal Donko, initially came to the property as a hired hand, given that it was a farm.

The children's mother owned the farm and had a baby with Bolsla.

Speaking of whom, the baby was what the couple were arguing about. Though the children couldn't understand

what they were arguing about, because most of what was said was in Polish, they got the gist

that he was accusing her of something. After sticking his head out of the window of the children's bedroom momentarily,

Norman returned to bed. He suddenly smelled and felt urine. The perpetrators were his twin

brothers, Dennis and David. Dennis was remembered for being aggressive and an independent thinker,

while David tended to sit on adults' laps instead as a softly spoken soul.

Dennis annoyed their mother, who was not affectionate. Like many twins, Dennis and David developed their own language,

which was only understood by Eunice.

Dom Coe was oddly preoccupied with their language.
