What if your whole understanding of the world?

All your beliefs, the ideas that influence your relationships,

how you parent, how you work, how you interact with friends at the pub, what if it all changed?

I said, I don't want to be like this anymore. I didn't stop believing in conspiracy theories.

I became repelled by them. It came crushing and crashing down on me.

This is All in the Mind. I'm Sana Khadar.

And recently on the show, we aired an episode on conspiracy theorists.

And we explored whether people who fall down the proverbial rabbit hole ever get out.

And if so, what it takes to get them out. We heard from one ex-believer

in that episode, Brent Lee.

I'm incredibly proud of myself, having the courage to actually question my own beliefs,

question what I've been told. And we had a huge response to that episode, some positive, some negative.

So we thought this feels like a topic that's worth revisiting.

So today, we're meeting a few more conspiracy believers, people who for years held firm

beliefs that governed just about every aspect of the way they lived their lives.

And then, for each of them, their conspiracy beliefs came crashing down.

In a single moment, or over decades, they managed to pull themselves out.

But each of their stories is vastly different.

It just seems crazy to talk about it now, really, that I had those beliefs.

This little nagging voice of something's off here.

That was curiosity creeping into my false reality.
