I'm sitting in my apartment just off Melrose in West Hollywood hours before my first ever LA show,

and we've been careening down the west coast of the north of America and the last week hitting Vancouver in Canada, Seattle, Portland and San Francisco.

And the sense I get is Mary that Americans are either massively upset by what is happening in their country or more or less asleep.

I'm obviously in some very blue states here, but would you think that's a pretty fair assessment?

I think it's two out of three, right?

I think that a huge number of Americans are really upset.

I think a bigger number are just to sleep or assuming the ostrich pose.

But I think there's a third and very significant group that's just fine with a whole

bunch of it.

And I think they are the immigration stuff.

Particularly the and within that group, there's a group that are happy to hold their

nose and see the economy tank if the bigger picture is that America becomes once again

the safe haven and the rightful throne of mediocre white men and that they can resume what they

believe is their rightful place at running things, that once any kind of meritocracy is abandoned,

that then they will be able to get back to the top where they believe they belong.

Breaking eggs and omelets, all these kind of stupid analogies, and it's the only word for them,

or getting thrown around on some of the outlets that I've been watching over the last seven

days, really defies belief in some ways, because you know that the wealthiest are also taking

the hit. Where are we at now in terms of tariffs, 90-day pauses,

and Donald Trump telling people that, oh, I only brought in that 90-day pause because people

were getting a bit yippy. What does that mean and where are we at right now? Try and catch people

up as to what you see as the picture at this moment of time. No problem. No problem,
