It was the coolest thing to watch.

I just watched and I would keep saying, wow, oh my gosh,

I'm gonna' Father Mike Schmitz,

I'm gonna slow it down.

But the coolest thing about being able to watch all these different sports was I'd watch him and go,

wow, just excellence on display. I'm grateful for that being my natural response right now because

I know that in the past I've seen people do excellent things and my response has been like, huh, they're a basketball player,

of course they can do this.

They're so tall, that's why they can do X, Y, and Z.

I bet they're not very smart.

When we see excellence, what is it in that that threatens us? When we see someone do something incredible

what is it in us that our first response is to critique, right?

Our first response is to cut them down a little bit.

Even think about a musician, a performer.

You might say, you know, this person's on tour

and their tours are amazing. Well, yeah, but you know, they don's on tour and their tours are amazing.

Well, yeah, but you know, they don't sing all their own songs.

You know, they lip sync some of those songs on stage.

Okay, this person is a great singer.

Well, yeah, but they didn't write their own songs they played the guitar so well
