Summary

The unthinkable happened. CrossFit lost an athlete during the games. Without having all the answers yet about exactly what happened when Lazar Đukić drowned, clearly sufficient safety measures were not in place. Athletes have been complaining for years about safety issues. Is there a lack of funding? A lack of qualified volunteers? Are volunteers really the way to go? If CrossFit would be nowhere without the athletes, isn’t it worth it to use paid safety staff to protect them? Could this be the end of the games as the world has known them?

Dean Saddoris (@deansaddoris.ck), who has been involved in CrossFit for years, joins us for this discussion. We also run down our favorite moments from the Summer Olympics.
