All right, let's turn over here to 1 Timothy, chapter 2. And what I want to do, I've been teaching on prayer if you haven't been here for this

whole thing. And man, we've covered some radical stuff in three services already. And I taught

on what prayer is not. We countered a lot of religious traditions. And then I taught on what prayer is about how it's really for just

relationship with the Lord, loving the Lord, fellowshiping with the Lord, not asking for things.

It is appropriate to ask, but it shouldn't be a majority. It ought to be a very small portion

of your relationship with God is confessing, repenting, and asking. But the majority of

prayer ought to be just fellowshiping with God. And we can actually minister under God. I talked

about all of those things. Last night, I was dealing from Mark chapter 11 about how Jesus

said that when you pray, you have to believe you receive when you pray.

And we use the example of him speaking to the fig tree and how he actually told us that

anything is possible unto us if we would speak directly to our problem and use our authority

in Christ instead of asking God to do things for us.

And the majority of the body of Christ doesn't understand this.

They come to the Lord as if they have nothing, no power, no authority, and say, God, we are nothing, we have nothing.

We can do nothing, but we ask you to do this.

You will die praying that way. He told you to take your authority and speak directly to your

And then here in 1st Timothy, what I want to talk about today is the difference between

New Testament prayer and Old Testament prayer. And most people don't understand this at all. There is a
