All right, what I'm going to talk about, we'll all speak on whatever God wants us to, and it'll all

fit together. It always does. But I have really

felt impressed to talk about how to hear God's voice and for you to tune your hearing to be able

to hear God's voice. And the very first thing that I want to say about this is just to try and

emphasize how important it is and what a privilege

it is to have God Almighty speak to us. And it's not meant to be a rare occurrence. It's meant to be

normal. You know, over in Isaiah chapter 30, I believe it's around verse 21. It says that you will hear a voice

behind you saying, this is the way, walk thou in it. And that was prophesying what would happen in

the new covenant. He had just been rebuking them and saying, I've forsaken you, I've turned you over

because of this, but there's coming a day. Well, I will draw you back and you will hear a voice behind

you saying, this is the way, walk thou in it. And I tell you, God intended to direct our lives.

Jeremiah chapter 10, verse 23, Jeremiah was lamenting the fact that the Israelites were going into bondage

and that they were going to be in captivity.

And he had just talked about, how could this happen to the people who were the apple of God's

eye, the people who at one time were favored like nobody else on the planet?

And he answered his own question in verse 23 by saying, but, oh, Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself.

It is not in man that walks to direct his own steps.

And the reason that we get into trouble is because we do it our way,

us and Frank Sinatra.

I did it my way.
