After a quiet Easter weekend,

the Prime Minister seemed keen to

make up for lost time this week, as she called a snap general election. I spoke to her Cabinet

Minister, Damien Green, Labour's Barry Gardner and Sir Vince Cable of the Leibes about that

decision. So after a busy few months with my show, I was enjoying a week off last week.

I was on holiday in Spain, enjoying the sun and a little break from politics,

when the Prime Minister brought me right back down to earth with a bump when

she stepped into Downing Street just after 11am on Tuesday and announced she was seeking an

early general election. So far we've heard very little from the Conservatives, only their

idea about an energy price cap and foreign aid continuing to have the 0.7% commitment spent on it.
