Your screenplay, your first one that you wrote about politics, presidential politics, was

And then you took another crack at it, which is where I met you in the aftermath of the John McCain campaign.

screenplay off of the Mark Halperin and John Heilman book Game Change, and that's where we got to know

each other. Absolutely, yeah. It was on Game Change. I remember I interviewed you for the project.

I normally don't talk about people that I interview, all the interviews I do on all my projects

are on background, but you discussed it publicly about a decade ago. So I felt like I'm okay to

bring it up now. And we had a great, really great interview.

I remember I thought it was quite powerful, actually,

hearing the tale of, you know, the McCain-Palin campaign through straight from you.

And I interviewed about 25 people on that movie, just pretty much solely people from the

McCain-Palin campaign. And everyone had, I wouldn't say everyone had totally different opinions.

There were sort of three camps of people that had a huge problem with Governor Palin, people

that really liked Governor Palin, people that really liked Governor Palin and people that

saw both sides and thought, you know, saw both sides of her. So it was pretty fascinating

sort of journey through that, through that moment in history. And when you look at that moment in history and your affinity for politics against this

moment in history, which is, I guess, closing in on a generation later at some level,
