Hello and welcome to Under the Skin from Illuminary. This week I spoke with David Bus and American

evolutionary psychologist at the University of Texas in Austin. He's one of the founders

of the field of evolutionary psychology, like along with people like Stephen Pinker and

Staff, he's currently searches on sex differences in mate selection, mate attraction, infidelity

and the emotions of jealousy, lust and love. But that didn't stop me trying to get him

to talk about corporate involvement in the way that, for example, we eat. Like I talked

him like a length about like, yeah, but because, for example, he bought the idea that

we eat a lot of fat and sugar because of its scarcity in our evolutionary history. And

I said, yeah, but people are trying to push us into eating fat and sugar. What's going on

with all that stuff? It's a really good conversation. I think you're really, really enjoying it.

I think about Michael Singer a lot of times I go running Kimberly and I think about Michael

at the moment. I'm really sort of just trying to do what he suggests, which is watch it.
