we are having difficulty with. It can be a partner, a family member, or even someone who has passed on and is no longer in this physical

world. This process will help you to release the difficult emotions surrounding

someone that you're in conflict with in a very

conscious way. Here we are meeting our ill will head on.

Meta or loving kindness is the emotional opposite of ill will.

It can bathe the darkness with light.

And so we are consciously evoking the image of someone we usually respond to with feelings

of aversion in order that we can overcome them. This doesn't mean that we cultivate ill will in order to deal with it.

It's enough simply to call to mind someone we have difficulties with

and to wish them well. So let's get comfortable. Let's take a

long slow deep breath in and gently let that go.

And now close your eyes softly.

Feel your body relax.

And ever so gently breathe in and out

as you feel your muscles soften, as you feel your shoulders relax, as you allow your mind to quiet just a little bit. And as we breathe in,

deepen your awareness of your body and your posture. As we let it go,

feel yourself settling just a little bit more.

You may want to drift your awareness to every muscle,

to allow it to soften to melt, to relax.

Remember to keep breathing and witness that breath as it comes in, and observe it as it leaves you. Oh, And now take a long slow deep breath in. And as you do, feel your heart expand, receiving, loving kindness from the universe.
