Stewardship does not just extend to all of the positive, enjoyable aspects of our life. Stewardship is connected to all of the positive, enjoyable aspects of our life, stewardship is connected to all of life.

Today, I want to talk to you about a stewardship that I think is little discussed and considered,

and it is this, the stewardship of trials.

All of us have trials, test of our faith, difficulty. Everybody has

them. In fact, scripture tells us that we should not think it's strange concerning the fiery

trial which is to try us. It's not a strange thing. It's not unusual. It's common to every man.

But even those trials are entrusted to us.

Job, I think, being the ultimate example outside of our Lord Jesus himself, of one who reflects

that the right response in trials has a divine purpose. With that in mind, I bring you to Paul's writings today

in 2 Corinthians chapter number 12, a famous passage, permit me to read just a few verses, beginning

in verse number seven, where the apostle says, and lest I should be exalted above measure.

Through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh

the messenger of satan to buffet me lest i should be exalted above measure for this thing i besought the

lord thrice that it might depart from me and he said unto unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee,

for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

Most gladly, therefore, will I rather glory in my infirmities that the power of Christ

may rest upon me.
