One of the real reasons that people are leaving the church is it politics, corruption,

a desire to commit sins God forbids. My guest today says that for him and for many he knows,

it was none of those things. It was simply that they had questions that no one in the church

wanted to hear, let alone answer.

I'm Julie Roy's. And on this episode, you'll hear from Jamin Collar, a pastor's son and former worship pastor who spent the past several years embedded in the so-called ex-vangelical community.

This community is comprised of folks who used to identify as evangelical, but no longer do.

And if they attend church, it's certainly not an evangelical church.

Jamon says there's a great deal of misunderstanding between the evangelical community and these ex-vangelicals,

but there doesn't have to be. And to help build understanding between these two groups,

Jamin has written a book entitled Dear Evangelicals, the Real Reasons People Are Exiting to Church.

And this book is not necessarily one that you or I may agree with, at least not in its totality.
