All right, imagine you're in some of the most beautiful country on this green earth.

It's public land, and you have a rifle, your pack, and ten days worth of food, and uncharted territory ahead of you.

There's at least three mountain dwelling species

in that country.

And it's not that you have permits for all of them.

It's that none of them actually require permit

and none of them have bag limits.

This Shanghai law of backcountry wilderness hunting

actually does exist. It's New New Zealand and I have on the

line with me a good pile of mine that's hunted do it yourself public land areas in

New Zealand multiple times and he's consented to get on the show here

and and tell us a little bit about it. This is David Fabian one of my mind the

most capable solo backcountry hunters I know.
