Summary

Pastor Louie Giglio // "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows." Psalm 23:5 — Even though the enemy longs to sit at your table, our Good Shepherd has laid down His life to be the only one with a right to sit with us. We are so prized and valued by Jesus that He paid everything to be with us, and we have to make sure that we don't extend that same honor to the Enemy.

0:26.0	A real text, not a text of scripture, but a text on my phone.
0:29.0	And I'm not being dramatic when I tell you that this text changed my life.
0:34.0	Not a week goes by in the years since I got this text that I don't think about this text.
0:40.0	You ever gotten a text like that? It was so powerful?
0:43.0	Somebody spoke something so powerful that you still remember it.
0:47.0	I could probably scroll back five years and find it, but I still think about it multiple times in a given week.
0:55.0	And it changes the temperature and the direction of my life every single week.
1:00.0	It's amazing how God is gracious like that to bring truth into our lives just at the right time.
1:07.0	We're talking in this series, even though I will, about defiant faith.
1:13.0	We're talking about a kind of faith that when life closes in, the faith doesn't deflate, it actually inflates even more.
1:22.0	And that sounds kind of backwards to us, but every time we turn a page in scripture,
1:28.0	we find people who are in circumstances and situations where you shouldn't have faith.
1:34.0	Daniel is in a lion's den, you're thinking, that's the night your faith is going to deflate.
1:41.0	I'm just trying to follow God. I'm just trying to honor him.
1:44.0	I'm just trying to be obedient to what he's called me to do.
1:47.0	Now I'm going to be dinner for the big cats.
1:52.0	God, how have you put me in here?
1:56.0	How did this all work out?
