Hey everyone, thanks for listening to the Charter podcast. We just recorded an episode previewing

the Super Bowl that's coming up this weekend. And as we were wrapping up, the episode,

there was breaking news. The Bears have announced the passing of Virginia Hallis McCasky.

And she was 102 years old and she lived an unbelievable life. And we're going to take a few moments just kind of get our reactions and talk about her for a moment, pay our respects.

Obviously, there will be a lot of time to remember her and honor her and talk about what this means

for the Bears and the organization moving forward.

But for just a couple minutes, we're going to take some time to just give our thoughts before

we get into our Super Bowl conversation.

And I thought I'd share a little bit of a statement from the Chicago Bears that said, while

we are sad, we are comforted

knowing Virginia Hallis McCasky lived a long, full, faith-filled life and is now with the love

of her life on earth.

She guided the Bears for four decades and based every business decision on what was best

for Bears, players, coaches, staff, and fans.

So Alex Shapiro and Clay Harbor, I'm joined by the two of you.

And, you know, Clay, I know you are from the area.

You grew up a Bears fan.

This is heavy news.

Yeah.

Yeah, no, just, I mean, her name, Hallas McCaskey, you know, she, she was a Halas, you know, Papa Bear's daughter.

And obviously, 102 years.

And I think that that's incredible.
