Is economic growth even with its well-known benefits, still underrated.

Justin Kelly, with the Archbridge Institute, argues there are still unsung benefits to higher

economic growth, and the ancillary benefits of higher growth are, well, life and death. We spoke last month in Phoenix.

Economic growth, let me pitch the alternative. Economic growth is not underrated. Economic growth is

perfectly rated which is to say that every presidential candidate when they

are want to talk about the negative record of the other guy.

They say, look at how terrible economic growth was under their under their

control of the economy so-called.

But when I was president,

oh, look at the wonderful things we had,

we had wonderful economic growth.

All the jobs.

All of the jobs.

And so it seems like it ought to be a hard sell to say economic growth is underrated, it's underappreciated for what it delivers.

What is the what is your case for making that claim?

So I would say that economic growth is still underrated in in part because well yes that is true that every

single politician who's running usually runs on the economy and even if they don't have

actual policy proposals like we've seen over the past few weeks.

They still talk about the economy as, oh, it was good with us, bad under them.

But I think people talk about the economy in only the ways that, albeit are important in terms of, well, there's now more, there's better jobs under my administration, there's worse jobs under their administrations or less jobs or fewer jobs or you know worse
