Hey guys, welcome to episode 98 of the Ocede stories.

And this episode I got on the O. C.D stories podcast.

Now in this episode I got on the show Emily Burns.

Emily is a teacher and poet.

And I've been following her on Instagram for some time

and reading all her poems which I really enjoy. But it's special to this

podcast because several of those poems are based around OCD and her

experience of OCD and also she writes about anxiety and mental illness in general and as always

I say more importantly recovery and her book which she released a couple months ago is called

a strangely wrapped gift.

And we get into the meaning of that title

in relation to OCD.

I read four of the poems out that I really liked

and I ask Emily for the meaning behind them which I found really interesting

Emily kindly shared her OCD story in detail which I think there was some several

life lessons which I really liked and I think you're

enjoy and I'm sure many of you will find comfort in her story.

Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable chat with Emily. It was nice to speak with her.
