So, Burdo, many people have been asking us to do an episode about anyogram, lots of patrons,

0:06.2

clinicians, laypeople, listeners, lots of excitement about anyogram. So, what do you say we get

0:13.3

into it, Burdo? Let's do it. This is the Psychology and Seattle podcast. I'm your host,

0:17.5

Dr. Kirk Honda. I'm a therapist and a professor. Who are you, Umberto? My name is Umberto

0:22.3

Castanilla, and I grow dairy-free mushrooms. So, I had never even heard of anyogram until,

0:29.0

I don't know, maybe like a year ago when someone asked for us to talk about it, have you heard of it

0:33.5

before? I heard the word, and I thought it was something completely different. I thought it was

0:38.0

some medical, like, you know, like an engeogram, you know? Yeah. Engeogram. Isn't there also something

0:45.0

called engrams or something? Engrams? Oh, that was the other thing. I thought this maybe had

0:48.9

something to do with, uh, Scientology. Yeah. And something. I thought it was something like that.

1:08.2

taken it. Wow. And I hadn't even heard about it until recently. And it's only because of the

1:15.1

listeners that I would have heard about it at all. And, you know, I've been in the field 24 years,

1:21.9

never heard of engeogram. And I've read, you know, hundreds of books on personality and none of

1:28.4

them even mentioned it. And yet, all these people out there are, you know, my sister, my friends,

1:36.6

all the listeners on Facebook, they've all heard about it. So let's get into a highly controversial

1:42.0

theory. On Reddit, someone asked about engeogram and they're like, so basically for those who don't

1:50.5

know, engeogram is a, it's similar to Myers-Briggs. It's a way of trying to determine your

1:55.3

personality, basically. Personality type. Yeah. And so on Reddit, they're asking, is it scientifically

2:01.2

valid? And one person said, engeogram is the work of modern spiritual teachers and crackpots.

2:10.1

Another person says, engeogram is not valid. I was just at an engeogram seminar that presenter
