Hello, friends, and thank you for joining me. I have some terrible things that I cannot wait to tell you, and some very exciting things as well. First, I need to thank everybody

that has been sharing the podcast with your weird and spooky friends. My

little podcast here is growing at an encouraging pace, and it makes me feel really nice to see

people following and commenting and rating and telling me that they share it with people.

That's like the greatest compliment of all. Just when I'm certain I've created an episode that's

going to get me canceled, my traffic like doubles. It's really exciting and very humbling,

so thank you. You may be pleased to know that I have ranked 30th in Spotify's top history podcasts.

That is not something I ever dreamed what happened in my life.

For many reasons, first being I did not know I was in the running. I think of this is more

like a spooky podcast than a historical one, but look, I will take any accolades I can get.

Interestingly, Spotify doesn't have a horror category. You have to label the main category of your podcast when setting things up.

And history was just the closest thing I could think of since Spooky Yuki was not an option.

But hey, I'll take 30th place any day.
