0:19.8	Welcome to talking scripture. I'm Bryce and I'm Mike and today we're going to start
0:27.0	Alma's letters to his sons. Alma has three sons, Helaman, Shiblon, and
0:30.8	Coriantin and he's going to write individual letters to each one of them
0:34.1	the Come Follow Me curriculum splits him in half so today we're just going to do his
0:38.5	letters to Heleman and Schiblon and next week we'll do his letter to his wayward son Correantin. So Mike
0:45.2	tell me what you get out of these letters from a father to his sons. There's a lot of
0:50.3	ways to look at these chapters. One way to look at this is that Alma is
0:55.8	showing us how to be a good parent, how to be a good mom or dad. And so look at the last verse of Alma 35. I think this is really
1:06.0	interesting. He says this. He caused it his son should be gathered together
1:10.0	that he might give unto them everyone his charge separately concerning the things pertaining
1:16.4	unto righteousness. He talks to them as individuals.
1:21.1	Which means you have a different relationship with each child.
1:24.0	You don't have a relationship with your children.
1:27.0	You have a relationship with each child.
1:28.8	And you may not necessarily do the same activities with child two that child one wants. I really love that. I always
