0:26.9	tackle the second half of Alma's letters to his three sons. In our previous
0:30.8	podcast we addressed his letter to Heleman and Chiblon.
0:34.0	Now we address his letter to a wayward son, one who's committed a very serious sin.
0:39.0	His name is Correantin and all of today's material are letters from Alma to his son Coriantin.
0:45.9	And he starts off with brilliant advice for parents.
0:49.3	If you've ever struggled with how to discipline a child, this is how he jumps into it.
0:54.2	And chapter 39 is a beautiful pattern, Mike, isn't it?

0:58.6	Alma 39 really is a pattern for how we can parent, how we can help our children when they mess up and I
1:04.7	really like the idea of letting the consequences do the teaching and his parents were
1:08.7	a guide on the side to kind of help them see the consequences, see how they can change their behavior and get a moving

1:15.8	One thing I noticed, I remember one time I went to a seminar where they talked about parenting
1:20.4	and they said, if you parent with anger, it's like your kids don't even listen to what you're saying all they sense that emotion and that just kind of
1:27.8	Over rides any of the logic of what you're trying to communicate to them so my image of Alma 39 is Alma is not angry. He is just
