And I'm Bryce.

And today we're going to be in Ether 12 through 15.

This is the conclusion of the record of Ether.

And in this text, we're going to see the disintegration of the Jaredites.

But before we get there in the 15th chapter, Marona is going to do the opposite. So instead of disintegration, we're going to talk about

building up. We're going to talk about faith and Jesus. And there's a really cool invitation at the end

of this 12th chapter, Bryce. So when you teach this, what are some things that you talk about when you

approach Ether 12? Anytime Ether 12 is in your are some things that you talk about when you approach Ether 12?

Anytime Ether 12 is in your block, you get to talk about faith.

And I love Moronai's definition here.

He gives us several definitions of faith, starting in verse 4, if you believe,

whoso believeth in God might with assurity, hope for a better world, which hope cometh of faith.

Then in verse 6, he says, I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen,

wherefore dispute not because ye see not, for you receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.

Now, I love those. I love Alma 29. It's this idea of not disputing because you don't see.

Years ago, I came across a definition of faith from C.S. Lewis that really helped me put my hands

around it. I wanted to just say, give me a definition of faith

...
