Hello, my name is Mike Fenton-Stevens, and this is my time capsule, where my guest tell me the five things from their life that they wish they had in a time capsule.

Four things they love and one they'd like to bury and forget.

Well, that's usually what they do, but this episode is an extended,

you might even say unedited version,

of an episode we put out right at the start of my time capsule,

with the producer, writer and presenter, John Lloyd.

Famously, one of our guests who just completely ignored the

format. But then again, after the career he's had, he has the right to do almost anything he wants.

John is one of the youngest recipients of a BAFTA Lifetime Achievement Award, and was the producer

of not the 9 o'clock news, blackadder and spitting image. But you knew that, I'm sure. He co-wrote

some of the Hitchhinker's Guide to the Galaxy with Douglas Adams, made hundreds of television commercials,

and then started the quiz show QI, which has spawned one of the most popular podcasts in the world,

no such thing as a fish. He presents the Museum of Curiosity on BBC Radio 4 and has performed in several one-man

shows at Edinburgh. So here is another chance to hear this lovely and unique man, with all the

bits that we rather fastidiously took out, put back in. This is John Lloyd unedited.

So it's very straightforward.

Really, it gets people to talk about things that are not in the norm.

You know, so I could talk to you about your career and all those things,

but actually they're well on record, you know.

So in fact, it's more looking for tiny little things

that remind you of a sort of a period of your life or something in your life that you liked and everything.

And just one that you sort of go, well, that was, you know, I wish you would get rid of that.
