There are, I believe, two big questions that are going to go a long way towards determining

who wins Saturday's SEC championship. One of these we spent a good bit of time talking about

yesterday, but I think it's still relevant here right now to unpack even further. The way

we said this yesterday was, how is it that Georgia has played its best game defensively this season against what

is, I think most people would say objectively true, the best team that Georgia has played?

You know, Texas is still among the highest, you know, ranked teams in the country.

And yet Georgia really shut down Texas when they met in October, in Austin. Georgia kind of had their way with the

Longhorns that date. What was it? Seven sacks in total. Great game from McHale Williams. Great game

from, you know, Jalen Walker. And if you watch that playing out, I think you could be convinced

that this is the same Georgia defense that it's been in years like 2022.

And maybe not quite 2021, but still it kind of rhymes with it when you go out there and impact a quarterback the way that Georgia did that day.

And in fact, I think that speaking just for myself, but also someone who kind of speaks to Georgia fans on a regular basis here on the show.

Coming off of that Texas game, I think that I had a lot of confidence that the Georgia defense was going to be that force

that perhaps propel Georgia towards a championship.

And at times, brief windows maybe it's been kind of like that. But the truth is, is there have been a lot

of games against far lesser competition, including this past Friday against Georgia Tech, where Georgia

didn't come close to matching the defensive success that it had against what's kind of a juggernaut team

like Texas. Now, some of this, we would all acknowledge, is just sort of the weirdness
