You know, I really try not to be like the old man on the porch and talking about, you know, back in my day, this, and boy, I remember when that.

It's just, you know, it's not always the most interesting conversation to have.

But it is also true that those of us were big college football fans, man, we have had to get used to a lot of things just not quite being the way they used to be.

And it's a lot of it all at once.

And it kind of leaves you sometimes with an uneasy feeling.

And no matter how much you want to avoid the trap of like too much sentimentality and

nostalgia, you can't help but sometimes just sort of miss the way things used to be.

For me, one of those things is National Signing Day. I just sort of

miss it being the way that it once was. And, you know, today is National Signing Day. And I'm at least

thankful that even in the age of like the letters of intent have now gone away, Georgia is still

seemingly announcing all these signings throughout the day. So that kind of feels like it used to feel. But the kind of drama that you got on signing day, it's not obvious about how much of that

we're even going to have, both as it relates to Georgia and also kind of outside the boundaries of Georgia

here too, where a lot of this is just sort of settled. And obviously for Georgia itself, the big decision comes on Friday when the five-star defensive lineman Justice Terry makes his choice.

But doesn't it feel like signing day in general has sort of lost a little bit of what it once was?

It's not Georgia's fault.

George is on its way to perhaps sign the top class in all of the

sport. And it may not even be the sports fault either, just sometimes things evolve. This just
