Hello and welcome back to Atcrack. I'm Jed Wolpa and we are back with another keyword episode and the one and only Dr. Gillian Isaac. We are going to talk today about lower extremity

nerve blocks and what you might find when you have questions on them on exams.

Yeah, so today, the keyword that I selected, key words plural, are from the advanced content

outline under Regional anesthesia. I'm lumping them together as lower

extremity blocks, but if you look under the advanced content outline for all

nerve blocks, they want you to know indications,

contraindications, techniques, comparisons of techniques and

complications. And I think that's really important whenever you're doing

any type of block is you need to know when you should do it when you shouldn't do it and then like is there something else that's as comparable like kind of do a spinal or an epidural and then always complications. So there are a bunch of different blocks they want you to know.

We've done some of them, like I think we've done this,

we did cervical plexus, we've done glossopfringial,

we've done some of the head and neck ones,

and we've done some of the upper extremity like we've done

interscaling supercovicular, infracurricular and axillary. Today we're

going to do the sciatic femoral, popatile fauca, and ankle block. And then the next one,

podcast keywords, I think we're gonna, I'm gonna pull together what I call kind of like

some of these random ones, they're the less tested, less common.

And there may be like a question or two,

so we could probably lump them all into one,

but it won't be a lot of questions on any given one.

It will be like a question per each.
