Hello and welcome back to Ackrack. I'm Jed Walpaw and I am really excited. We have such a great show today. I have with me one of our ICU pharmacists. I rely on her so much when I am attending in the ICU,

and she just brings so much knowledge

about everything pharmacology,

and now I have convinced her to come on the show so that all of you can benefit from her knowledge too.

I have with me Tracy Gruse, who is going to talk to us about glycemic control in the ICU,

and I'm excited to learn from her.

So let's start by just telling the audience a little bit about you.

What do you do and how did you get where you are?

I'm the CICU Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at Hopkins and the program director for our

P2 critical care pharmacy residency here. I am originally from Michigan and moved south for

undergrad at the University of Alabama before coming back to Michigan to complete

pharmacy school at Wayne State University in Detroit.

And then I headed out here to Baltimore for PGI one pharmacy and PG2 critical care

residencies and have been here getting to work with great people like you ever since.
