They know what I knew. They can't win. And everybody is saying you're throwing your vote away, voting green.

You're throwing your vote away, voting blue. They are dead already. They're a zombie. Dead man walking.

And if you vote green instead you are actually consolidating power in a viable third party option that can then leverage

against both team blue and team red. So, I'm so glad to have on bad faith podcast long overdue Dr. Butch where you know him as Dr. Jill Stein's VP presidential

running mate for the 2024 race. He is also an associate professor at UC Santa Barbara Department of History and the

founder of the initiative for the city of race, religion, and revolution.

I got to say I'm having like a fan boy moment.

As soon as bad faith podcast drops, I watch it in the morning usually when I'm cooking breakfast.

So this is a big moment for me.

And as I've learned, your mornings are very early and very productive and very gym-filled.

And I am aspirationally looking at the way you're running your life.

I can put you on my program, you know's just and you don't have to do the first

workout at 5 a.m you can get it in anytime in the day. I think that's bad for the best if that's what it took to get my act together, that I'd be up the creek as they say.

All right, so Dr Ware, I think a lot of people might not have that much exposure to who you were prior to joining the Green Party ticket.

So by way of introduction, can you tell you a little bit about how you came to your politics?

So how I came to my politics, I would say it probably began at age 15. I read the autobiography of Malcolm X literally cover to cover in one night. I had never been like so moved. I still teach it pretty much every year in one or another of my classes.

I think it's the most powerful narrative for spiritual redemption

in the English language that's ever been written in the English language.

So I convert it to Islam literally by the end of that week.

And that was also kind of the introduction for me to, wasn't the introduction to black radical politics,

but it was an initiation into black radical politics.
