In case you haven't noticed, things have been going downhill around here lately.

Dan Roberts, our own tame engineer, has been doing about a zillion shuttle laps over the past

bunch of months while testing four very different

downhill bikes. And you can see all those reviews on Pinkbike right now, as well as a head-to-head

article and a DH fork comparison article. But today, I have the man himself to talk about it all.

Dan, introduce yourself, tell us where you live,

and tell us what four downhill bikes you've been riding. Hello there. I'm Dan, 34 years old,

live in Shampuri, that's in Switzerland. I'm a bike engineer and also work for pink bike

as well, obviously. And the four downhill bikes that we've been testing with are specialized demo race,

Canyon Sender CFR, the Common South Supreme DH 2927, and Cubes 215 HBC SLT.

You said the Cube's full name there. I'm impressed. Did you remember it or are you reading it?

I remembered all my lines for the filming, so I've still got that like etched into my head of what I need to say.

Burned into your head, nice. And I've also got Mike Casimir here, and him and I are going to ask Dan way too many questions about all these downhill bikes he's been riding.

And then at the end, we're going to make him do some tough comparisons because there is no

fence sitting allowed on this show.

I have a very relevant question to ask you. So you joke in your head-to-ed article about declining DH bike sales, but let's be real here. I mean, there aren't a lot of DH bike sales

to begin with. Downhill bikes make up a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the bikes sold worldwide,

the mountain bikes sold worldwide, compared to trail bikes, entry-level bikes, cross-country bikes, all that kind of stuff.

So in light of that, why should we care about downhill bikes?
