Summary

In this episode I'm joined by Andrew Allen to discuss the 2-1 win over Fulham on Tuesday evening. We start with the good stuff, in particular the goalscoring return for Bukayo Saka, and a really bright performance from Gabriel Martinelli. Then we discuss the injuries to Gabriel and Jurrien Timber, as well as pre-game news about Ben White, and where that leaves us going into the Real Madrid games. What are the options available to Mikel Arteta, who tried to put a brave face on things after the game? And why are we sustaining so many injuries?

There's also some detail of our April charity drive: we'll be donating 100% of our Patreon revenue to good causes, including the Arsenal Foundation, as well as supporting our friends at ArsenalVision Podcast as they launch their annual fundraiser - https://justgiving.com/page/avp2025

Hello and welcome to a brand new ArsBlog, Arscast right here on ArsBlog.com.

0:30.1

How are you? Hope you're well. Thank you very much indeed. As always, for being here. Today, we will be looking back at Arsenal's 2-1 win over Fulham in the Premier

0:40.2

League, a game which brought some joy because of the return of Bacayosaka and the fact that he

0:46.0

got on the score sheet just six minutes after being introduced in the second half. But a game which

0:52.3

also brought a measure of despair because we lost Gabriel

0:55.8

to a hamstring injury. It looks like Jury and Timber could be injured too. Ben White didn't play

1:01.5

in the game because he picked up a knock in training. So the injuries are mounting up ahead of

1:07.0

not just the games against Royal Madrid, but what remains of this season. And those are things

1:13.7

that we will delve into in just a couple of minutes' time as we start to talk about the match.

1:18.3

But at the top of the podcast, I just want to talk a little bit about this month and what we

1:22.8

normally do, or certainly have done over the last couple of years, in the month of April. Now, many of you

1:28.9

will be aware that our good friends at the Arsenal Vision podcast hold an annual fundraiser

1:34.3

for the Arsenal Foundation, raising money for the incredible work they do at the Zattery Refugee Camp.

1:40.6

And as we always do, we'll be helping that, we'll be supporting that, we'll be pushing people

1:44.8

towards that because the work that the Arsenal Foundation do there and in other aspects of the

1:50.1

work they do is just hugely important and very commendable.

1:53.4

And we want to make sure that we can maximize the goodwill of the Arsenal Vision community

1:59.5

and of the Arsblog community as well, and maybe even

2:02.2

the wider Arsenal community too, who have over the last number of years shown incredible

2:07.8

generosity and the amount of money that's been raised over the last few years has been absolutely

2:12.7

amazing. So we'll get Elliot on at some point next week and we'll talk about the fundraiser and the work that they're going to try and do over the course of this month.

2:21.6

From an arse blog perspective, what we have done in April is pledge to donate 100% of our Patreon revenue to charity.
