This is Come Follow Me for us, a weekly podcast where we feast on the words of Christ and have fun doing it.

I'm your host, Melanie Straub.

This is episode 9, Doctrine and Covenants 18 through 19, The Worth of Souls is great.

I'm going to start right in today with a review that was left on iTunes this week.

It says, I'm so grateful for this podcast. It truly has changed my relationship with my

heavenly parents and Jesus Christ, and I think I can even say it has changed my life.

I have read the Book of Mormon countless times and have read it nearly every night,

but it's always been difficult

for me to apply it to my life and read it any other way than straight through as stories,

a column, or a page or two at a time.

Once I learned Melanie's way of reading the scriptures, of praying first to ask for forgiveness

for unkind or wrong thoughts, actions, or words, to open up a clear

channel of communication with God, then going to him with a specific question in mind,

and then reading the Book of Mormon to find answers to these questions, the answers will

be there. The words, search the scriptures have become so real to me. Every time I read this way, I find something

that stands out to me as an answer from the Lord. I have realized that answers are everywhere in the

scriptures, if only we are trying to find them. I have begun carving out more time for Scripture

study and prayer because the Word of God has begun to enlarge my soul

and my understanding has become delicious to me. Thank you, Melanie, for helping me grow closer to

Christ. And this is 100% why I do this podcast, why I get so excited when people write to me

because this is what I want.

I don't want people saying that this is the greatest podcast.
