This episode features highlights from our event, new solutions for a green recovery,

unlocking the UK's innovation potential, in which

we brought together a panel of experts to discuss the recommendations of the Green Innovation Policy

Commission's final report. After every crisis, so post-financial crisis, post-Brexit, post-COVID,

we feel like we're almost having to remake the case for green recovery, and I think that means

that businesses are actually sitting and watching signs from the government as opposed to

being really really confident it's there the emergency is now the action has to be now and the

action we have to take primarily has to commercialize and deploy technologies that we already understand.

The event was chaired by Green Alliance Strategy Director Belinda Gordon.

I'm joined today by four distinguished experts to discuss the findings and recommendations

of the UCL Green Innovation Policy Commission's final report, which is launched

today. And it's available on the UCL website, and there is a summary report on the Green Alliance website.

I'm really grateful to Amy Jenkins, Deputy Director of Clean Growth at Bays, for stepping in at the last minute and joining the panel.

So it's great to have her, and she is joined by three other panel members, Angela Francis,

Chief Advisor on Economics at WWM, Professor Paul Eakins, Director at UCL and Director of the Green

Innovation Policy Commission, and John Cridland,

Chair of Transport for the North and of the Green Innovation Policy Commission.
