Hey everybody it's David Plough. Welcome to Campaign HQ. Well interesting times in our politics today. You can see by Donald

Trump's Twitter feed and his increasingly desperate statements that he must not be liking their internal Poland.

His frustration sadly doesn't come from the human toll that the pandemics had or I think even

the fact that our country's now going to be in a years long recovery

that didn't have to be as bad as it was.

But for him, he's just worried about his own politics and his re-election.

You know, to him recording this on Wednesday, May 20th, we saw him ranting and raving about Michigan,

just sending out absentee ballot applications requests to people to remind they can vote by

absentee threatening to withhold aid. So I think all this comes from the fact that in their

numbers they're not liking what they're seeing. And so I think we should generally ignore

that, those of us committed to defeating Donald Trump. One, these things can change.

This election we better assume could still be close.

Donald Trump, as I've often said, has an enviably strong base.

He's going to register a lot of voters.

His ceiling may not be very high from a vote standpoint, but I also think he's got a sturdy floor.

Second, we don't know what, you know, things are going to look like four or five months from now.

It may be that the second wave hopefully doesn't come back the economy recovers not quickly but

directionally and you know Trump will have an argument to me but I think at the end of

the day you know it's always better to work in politics and campaigns as if you're losing by 10 points

and that can seem like a silly expression but it's true. All of us from Joe Biden to local volunteers on the ground need to do everything we can to take advantage of this

moment because this may change and Trump was looking very weak right now, you know, may not

stay down the entire time.
