Hey everybody it's David Plough. Welcome to Campaign HQ. Well so much we could talk about.

I want to focus, I guess, my opening on what Brad Parskell

from the Trump campaign said over the weekend,

in a tweet and other social media in the humble way the

Trump campaign always operates said that they have built a death star and it's

going to be fully operational this week. Of course my my family loves Star Wars. I'm sure like many of

you do and it's curious that you would refer to your campaign as to Death Star, given that

it's the evil Sith

and ultimately multiple death stars blew up.

But be that as it may, let's unpack that. What do they mean by the death star?

Well, we're starting to see some signs of it. They're beginning, their television advertising, digital

advertising, really negative ads against Joe Biden for the first time in force.

These so far seem to be centered on trying to suggest that somehow Joe Biden is a

a toady for China and is weak on China. You know this fits into Trump strategy of

trying to blame the coronavirus and everything that's happened

economically and health-wise since his terrible plan and response on China.

So they mean that for sure. They're starting to do a lot more online events.

You know, they've released their app, which is actually a pretty good app and I'd like to see

and I'm sure we will see the Biden campaign developed a kind of app that is that intuitive and really

brings people back and almost gamifies in some respect some of the activity.

So but I think the major thing they're talking about is they're just starting to spend their war chest on negative ads on on Joe Biden and you know I think negative ads are not going to compare with the reality people see all around them with lost jobs, lost wages, lost

loved ones, and Trump's responsibility for that.
