Oh, I can't tell you how many times I have heard the argument, oh, well, God is obviously

blessing this institution because look at how many are coming through the doors. Therefore,

you cannot attack God's anointed because look at all the people that have been helped.

There are cults with large numbers too. Are we saying that God's blessing them?

It's the wrong thing. We're looking at these magnanimous things of, oh, God must be in this because

it's so big. But we have neglected to say, actually, when God is in a thing, it is the fruit of the spirit.

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, all those things.

That is the measure of a ministry.

We need fewer CEO pastors and more actual shepherds.

And this word here, bewilderment, I think, is something to talk about.

When I was talking with Julie about what we went through with our recent church, that was the word that came up. And so I haven't talked other than to her.

I haven't talked much publicly about it, so just bear with me because it's still a bit fresh.

But this next picture that you're going to see kind of typifies what our church had become.

This is a screen grab from my former church in that white circle is the pastor.

And you can see the iconography here of the fact that the pastor's head and the glowing around

him is bigger than the baby Jesus and is bigger than Jesus dying on the cross.

And that really typifies what had become of our church.

I'm already nervous because I'm going to get in trouble for this.
