This is a Fox News alert. I'm Tom Rgani. A spokesperson for former president Bill Clinton says Clinton was admitted to Georgetown University Medical Center this afternoon for testing and observation after developing a fever.

The former president remains in good spirits, according to a statement.

The man suspected of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson,

Luigi Mangoni, appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to state murder and terrorism charges.

It was expected that he was going to plead not guilty. That's usually what happens most of the time.

They put in that not guilty plea when they go in front of a judge for the first time. But this was the first time Angione was able to go

in front of a judge for a state case. We talked about the federal case the other day. These are state

charges. He's looking at nearly a dozen of them for people at home wondering, you know, how a 26-year-old is

dealing with all these charges, all this media attention. He looked like he was pretty calm and cool and collected to me.

I talked to some NYPD sources who are talking to him since he's been in New York City.

They say that he's focused here and says he's been pretty cooperative.

A North Carolina cop shot and killed at a Greensboro grocery store.

Police say Greensboro Officer Michael Horan responded Monday morning to a call of a man with a gun inside a

food lion store.

Assistant Police Chief MJ Harris said a short time after getting to the scene.

A shooting occurred inside of the store at approximately 11 a.m.

Fatally wounding Officer Horan. The circumstances of what led to the shooting are currently being investigated.

There is a suspect in custody.

Officer Horan was with Greensboro PD for seven years, serving prior to that in the Coast Guard. Food Lion said in a statement,

it is saddened by the incident and that location will remain closed through the investigation.
