Hello free first hour subscribers.

0:04.5

Greg Carlwood here and over the years some of the main things I've heard about the full two hour plus show and the membership are things like,

0:12.3

oh, I've been meaning to sign up for a long time, but have just been lazy, or that the first hour sounds so good and complete that it's hard to feel like you're missing that much or assess the value of a second hour.

0:25.6

Basically, the old adage, you don't know what you're missing.

0:28.4

And I understand that point.

0:29.7

I don't really like to tease things in that sort of way.

0:32.7

Feels too sleazy salesmany.

0:35.2

So I thought about how I could address that, what I might be able to do to

0:39.1

convince more free listeners that it's worth converting over for. And there really is no better

0:44.0

way to do that than showing free listeners what a plus show is like. Or how much more a second

0:49.9

hour might contain. And that is my plan here, at least for a while, and we'll see how it works out for me.

0:55.9

One older plus show in the free show feed every month at the end of the month as a sort of

1:02.9

peak behind the plus curtain. Because people who are members here full two hour interviews in a

1:09.1

single file. It's a little different from the way other people

1:12.4

in this space do it, where they split the hours into two separate files. To me, as a listener,

1:18.5

that's annoying. It's like flipping a tape from side A to side B. I don't really want to deal with that

1:24.2

when I'm in the middle of something else. Just keep it going. It's also a waste of the listeners time to hear two wrap-ups and two introductions,

1:33.0

trying to get back into the vibe. So that's why I do it like I do it. It does confuse people

1:38.3

sometimes, which means that for these free feed sample episodes, if you feel like what you're hearing is too

1:45.4

fresh in your memory, skip ahead about 50 minutes and just pick up from there. And you can be

1:51.8

pretty sure that you're hearing all the plus show content. My process has always been find

1:57.7

a natural sounding cut point about halfway in, make a chop, and then tack on the whole
