Hey everybody, welcome to the writing room.

So glad that you're here.

And I'm with my friend, Kim, and another great friend.

Anne, I want to just jump in because there's so much to cover. This is a podcast

for people who write books, but also people who read books. So that ought to be just about

everybody, including me all the way through elementary school and high school. But what we hope that we'll do today is to introduce

you to some ideas and some people who have been really influential in my life. And then you

will find some more energy. We'll get the flywheel going on pursuing the things that matter in

yours. So Kim, what if I turn it over to you to just say,

well, what are you about for people who haven't met you yet, a brief little who you are,

and then you can introduce Anne. I love it. Well, I'm an author of not, oh, eight books,

nine books. That's embarrassing. One of them is buried under a tree in my backyard,

and I will never show it to anyone, including you, Bob,

and you're a really nice guy.

But wrote a bunch of fiction, and then in April,

I had a new book come out that has a bunch of true stories,

which were sometimes harder than the fake stories to write.

And I'm thrilled to be on this podcast and be able

to chat with people at the Oaks with you and are coaching all these different spaces where people

are thinking, I think I have a book in me. How in the world do I do it? How do I get from brochure

size to something with a barcode? And there might not be any better person to speak to that than our guest today.
