I'm Emily Campano, and this is the Fox True Crime podcast. Not many people can say they've

witnessed some of the most consequential trials in American

history, but one courtroom artist, one of the best in his field, has witnessed American history

unfold before his very eyes time and time again. Today, I'm revisiting in my conversation with

Bill Robles for a look back at the infamous trials that colored his illustrious, illustrative career.

Bill Robles has sketched some of the most recognizable faces throughout his career.

Whether or not you know it, you've likely seen his work, not at a museum, but during coverage of some of the country's most high-profile trials.

For over 50 years, Bill has carefully observed and captured intense emotions

and dramatic events that have unfolded through his courtroom illustrations. Bill's career

began in 1970 with the murder trial of Charles Manson. Bill's art was broadcast on TV, giving

viewers across the country a look at their dramatic

scenes that took place inside the courtroom.

From there, Bill has sketched numerous other historic trials.
