Hey everybody welcome back to Cole Case Murder Mini. So today I want to talk about a personal experience I had where I nearly pulled the trigger on buying Gary Heidniks Rolls Royce.

Anyhow, back to the wacko of the day, Gary Heydnick, who claimed the Army gave him LSD while he was stationed in Germany and he had a nervous breakdown.

So he came home and collected disability for a while, but this wasn't any type of a proper way to make a living.

So he formed his own religion and placed a sign on his house that

read United Church of the Ministers of God, while allegedly turning that into a tax scam and most certainly taking advantage of

mentally challenged people who succumb to his charms in droves. But Gary proves he

somewhat of a savvy businessman investing his checks from the Army and social security into the newly formed church.

And from there, he fancies himself somewhat of a day trader as he begins to amass a small fortune,

ultimately going to jail worth nearly $750,000 in 1987.

Which is really strange considering the fact he lived in a horrifying dump of a row home in North Philly, his specific neighborhood

being known as the OK Corral because there were so many drug-related shootings there at

the time.

But there was a reason he wanted to live there.

And on March 25, 1987, Philly detectives entered his home with a search warrant,

which originated by Gary getting duped by one of his courageous victims who called the police in his ignorance

because what a teen girl knocked on his door one day to inquire about a strong odor and he told her he just burnt his dinner? The truth was

that he was actually cooking a human ribcage. But she believed him. So aside from torturing, raping, and imprisoning innocent women, he also murdered

and ate them. Seriously. And when a detective opened Gary Highnick's freezer that day, he got himself quite a surprise.

Inside was packaged human flesh, and somebody severed forearm. Of course, Gary went to prison and got himself executed late the next decade.
