Hello, everybody. Welcome to the Geeks book club with Bonnie Burton. Hi, Bonnie.

0:06.5

Bonnie. I'm a little out of it. I took a nap right before this, so I would be more energetic.

And I forgot, you know how sometimes when you take a nap in the middle of the day and you wake up,

0:20.6

you feel grogier? Well, yeah, you feel like you're grogier. You feel like more time has laps than

0:26.6

it should have. You feel like you feel like you woke up in a different era? I mean, 100% because that's

0:35.5

why I don't like naps. Like they say you're not supposed to nap more than 30 minutes, but it literally

0:39.2

takes 30 minutes for me to get to sleep in the first place. So I'm just like, well, what's the

0:45.7

solution here? Just don't nap? Well, the funny thing is, I am such a light sleeper and I live in

0:51.2

a pretty noisy apartment complex full of like 20-somethings, doing their 20-something thing.

0:56.4

So it's like, there's not like quite it. So, I mean, I'm used to it, but if I want to sleep during

1:02.2

the day, I have to fill out this whole, I have to do this whole situation. So what I do is I'm

1:10.0

on YouTube, I don't know if you're aware of this, but there are like 10 hour loops of just

1:15.4

room. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, it's the best. It's the best thing to go to sleep too. I went

1:19.1

I'm in a hotel because I have like a really, I have a really loud sound machine that I have on

1:25.4

in the back room and I'm sleeping in my home, but I don't have that other places. So I do have a

1:29.9

white noise app, but sometimes you just need some rain and that beautiful YouTube loop. I need

1:35.0

to rain and thunder, like I need it to be more realistic. So machines don't work for me because

1:39.0

they sound a little too artificial white noise that I will say. I used to go to sleep when I

1:45.6

lived in San Francisco where there's rain all the time anyway. I used to go to sleep listening to

1:52.0

a 10 hour loop of the Star Trek Enterprise core warp drive. Oh, that's very repetitive and

1:58.1

soothing. Yeah, I can see that happening. It's almost like a heartbeat sound. So like anybody out

2:02.8

there listening that that baby sits for babies or young kids or has one, I highly recommend it
