Thursday night's election results gave us a hung parliament,

something no one was predicting just a few weeks ago.

The Conservatives lost seats and Jeremy Corbyn's Labour Party made gains.

A huge line-up of guests joined me to dissect the results

and to discuss what happens now. Well, when Theresa May call the election in April, pretty much everyone was expecting her to win a big majority.

And some people even suggested her 12 seat cushion could be increased to over 100. But as the results rolled in on Thursday night,

it was clear her plan had backfired spectacularly. The Conservatives lost seats falling to

318 and Labour under Jeremy Corbyn made gains moving up to 266. The era of two-party politics

returned with a vengeance as the two big parties won over 80% of votes between them and the Conservative campaign so focused on the Prime Minister herself was a dismal failure and those responsible paid the price.
