I think what's important when you're reading these early chapters of Genesis is to recognize that this is a description of the created order.

But it's also the foundation for how we think about everything else that's going to happen in the Bible.

It's giving us pictures and images that are going to repeat or maybe even reverse throughout the rest of Scripture. So this is foundational. So

for instance, you think about Noah's Flood.
