Well, you know, later in 1 Samuel 15, there's that passage where the Lord regretted that he had made Saul King, but then later in the chapter, it'll say that he doesn't regret like a man.

And I think that the way to hold these things together

is to see that the Lord doesn't change his mind. He is immutable.
